Rich in protein content with a meaty taste, it is traditionally used to make curries and ‘Usal’. Grown naturally in small villages of Maharashtra, these beans are extremely nutritious and rich in fibre.

Usage
Soak Black beans for 6-8 hours and pressure-cook to make curries and stir fries with Indian spices. They can also be used to make salads or Mexican dishes like nachos. Mix spices and fresh herbs and grind the cooked beans coarsely to make patties ,koftas, tikkis and cutlets.
